to Touch: Rain

catching rainIt’s funny how children instinctively know: when it’s raining…try to catch it!

Why?

Water sprinkling on your skin, tapping your shoulder,  sometimes stinging, sometimes getting your attention with an occasional drop…well, it’s a pretty neat feeling!  It’s also random.  It rushes, it mists, it comes in all forms – none of which we can control – but it just feels good as it washes over you and saturates your skin.

The next time it rains, stick out your hand and feel some of the wet stuff that makes life possible.    Let it wash away some of your day and make you remember what it felt like to not worry anything else except the plip-plop into your hand.

Ahhhh….you’re ALIVE.
