make your new year’s resolutions and goals for the coming year

Every year we do it, but we could always use a reminder to review this past year and make a list of fresh goals for ourselves.
But here’s a New Year’s Resolution making tip: Don’t just list projects like “lose weight” or “stop smoking”. Instead, list what you’d like to become. Becoming a better friend, or becoming sexier and skinnier, healthier, more loyal, a better earner, or more positive, more spiritual, more thoughtful is a goal far better writing down because, as I’ve learned over the years, when you decide what you want to become the details tend to take care of themselves.
As author George Eliot said, “It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
