Love means never having to say you’re sorry?
Is it true? Do we really never have to say we’re sorry to those we love? Even if we unintentionally hurt someone we love, do we not have to say the words, “I’m sorry for hurting you”? I’d like to think when we do get it wrong, we try to make it right.
Love Is The Thing
I recently found the amazing Ingrid Michaelson while sniffling through a Grey’s Anatomy episode where Izzy marries Alex. Her song, Turn To Stone, was playing in the background.
I automatically looked her up on MySpace to hear more of her music. What I found was a blog about her newest album. I thought her perspective was [...]
To See: Benjamin Button
Not only is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button simply extraordinary to behold for it’s scenery and technological advances in CGI graphics, the tale is simple – time waits for no one and the sooner you realize that, the better off you’ll be.
The film, adapted from a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is of [...]
Love: Friendship Never Ends
The video below recaptures the story of two who adopted/rescued a lion cub from it’s cramped cage, raised it lovingly, then released it back into the wild. What is amazing is that no matter how life changed, the heart remembered love no matter how long it had been, how far apart they were or are, [...]
Love: Devotion is its own adventure
Often, people speak of love and devotion romantically. Like swans mating for life or when Phoebe explains the relationship between Ross and Rachel on Friends as “He’s her lobster.”
But devotion in and of itself is more than some romantic notion. It’s love personified in many forms: A mother or father devoted to [...]
To Hear: Enjoy
I found this song quite by accident. I thought it was a nice song to get your groove on while reminding yourself to take time to enjoy life and everything in it. Listen to the song, read the lyrics, see if it doesn’t remind you to celebrate life.
Lyrics, Enjoy

Love: Pay Attention
“Attention is the most basic form of love; through it we bless and are blessed.”
– John Tarrant
While life flies by, it’s easy to get caught up in the to do lists, the schedules, the hectic lives we all lead.
We text while we talk, we surf while we watch TV, and we talk while we [...]
My Wish For You: A Visit Home
Today I wish for you to return to the home in your heart.
Everyone has a home, be it the place they grew up, a new home just built or bought, or a love they have known.
Today I wish for you to remember that place. Return to it. Whether physically visiting your old stomping grounds or [...]
Tim Russert Was No Head of State
by Kelley Taylor, Make Every Day A Holiday
Tim Russert was no head of state. He was never elected into office, he wasn’t a president of a large corporation, founder of an organization, leader of a nation, movie or rock star.
Yet with his passing, he has been mourned by media, politicians, business leaders, and common folk [...]
My Wish For You: Good Drive Time
If you have to drive, whether it’s for a long distance or a short ride, I wish for you good solid driving time where you can look around and notice where you’ve been, how far you’ve come, and where you are today.
I wish for you the knowledge and security of knowing where you are going, [...]
