See how supporting others during this time can be uplifting and affirming that life is more than laughing at other's misfortune and that love and support conquers all.

At a crucial moment, sometimes something unexpected can go wrong. Watch what happened here.

Greg Wyshinski, writer for Yahoo Sports, reported:

Elizabeth Hughes, 8, made her debut signing the national anthem at an AHL Norfolk Admirals (the Tampa Bay Lightning‘s affiliate) game against the Connecticut Whale (New York Rangers‘ affiliate). Angelic voice, bundle of nerves … and then after the words “gave proof,” her microphone abruptly cut out.

What happened next might be something we’ve seen before at a sporting event, but that never lacks for inspiration (and maybe a misty eye or two). There’s a moment around 1:30 into this clip that gives us hope for humanity:

The video below recaptures the story of two who adopted/rescued a lion cub from it’s cramped cage, raised it lovingly, then released it back into the wild. What is amazing is that no matter how life changed, the heart remembered love no matter how long it had been, how far apart they were or are, and transcended all logic and reason.

“Love and closeness have nothing to do with geography. No matter how far away you are, roots go with you.”

One of the best things you can do to stretch your mind, open your eyes and soul is by visiting a museum. But, let’s say you’re short on time, in a rural area, or just can’t bear the thought of standing by someone saying, “In this piece, I think the artist was saying…” Blech. But NEVER let any of the above deprive you of enjoying many works or exhibitions. Many major museums now offer virtual exhibits*, or samples of them, to give you a taste of what is out there waiting for you to devour with your senses. For example, visit The Museum of Modern Art (affectionately known or also referred to as MOMA) in New York City to see the extraordinary Color Chart exhibit depicting how color was reinvented from 1950 to today. From the introduction, “Forty-four artists take the position that art and life mingle rather than remain separate, and where beauty is found in the everyday rather than in the ideal.” But we already knew that didn’t we? Enjoy the exhibit. All my love, Kelley Taylor —-*Site requires the Flash 8 plug-in or higher and the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
